Montreal, December 4, 2018 – Telecon, the national leader in telecommunications network infrastructure services (designing, building and connecting networks), today announced the acquisition of Unified Systems Group, a leader in end-to-end structured wiring solutions from Alberta.
“With over 110 highly skilled employees, Unified Systems Group will allow Telecon to strengthen its presence in Western Canada, a key strategic growth market to continue its expansion as a national player in enterprise connectivity solutions”, explained Daniel Robillard, Senior Vice-President, Connectivity and Enterprise at Telecon.
Unified Systems Group will integrate the Telecon Enterprise portfolio and join the existing Enterprise service offer with operations in Quebec, in British Columbia, in Ontario (Marcomm) and in Atlantic Canada (Plexus).

Telecon Enterprise will go to market as Unified Systems Group in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Fort McMurray, leveraging Unified Systems Group’s strong reputation, relationships and leadership in the industry.
Jason Burke will continue to manage the Unified Systems Group team under the leadership of Daniel Robillard, Senior Vice-President, Connectivity and Enterprise at Telecon. As founder of Unified Systems Group, Ed Taaffe will continue to share his wisdom with the team on a daily basis and will play an active role in the development of the OSP and industrial services.
